Down It Goes

Wow check it out! There really isn't much left of the station here in Musashikoyama. I am not sure when the rest of the new station will be done... but this thing is coming down pretty quickly. They are also ripping down Nishi Koyama, and also pulling up all the tracks!

Well hey check it out! We have hit the big time... In Tokyo you are no where with out a buidling called "Hills"

Roppongi Hills... Omotesando Hills... (there are some more but I forget... er do not really care LOL)

Well here we go Musasako (abrieviation of Musashikoyama) Hills! Welcome to the metropolis!

Actually to the left you can see where they are ripping down the station and you can also see that the tracks are now covered up.

He's Done It Again

Today is the 61st anniversary marking the surrender of Japan. I can name two people who went to Yasukuni Shrine today... one is my buddy Doug, and the other is Prime Minister Koizumi.

Doug went to check out the action and see what it was all about. He said that it was quite a strange atmosphere, and there were protestors at the site. Check out your history why.

The other guy... er Prime Minister... went to there pretty much stir up sh!t with our neighbours. Lets just say that they are less than impressed.

Anyhow... just seems to be poking the hornets nest.

Fuji Time!

Well it appears that Jonathan's trip to Mt Fuji was successful. A big congratulations to him for the successful climb up. I am not surprised that he did it. A little research, and grit got him to the top.

Anyone up for a climb? (Captain Slow, I know you don't want to!)

Check out the snap form the top. The Tip of Fuji (A volcano) is at 3777m. Pretty high folks. It is above the clouds.

Tour Completed

A quick farewell to Jon. It was good getting to know you in Japan. I hope that we get the chance to meet up the next time I am in Canada. I hope that you do enjoy your time in Calgary. Make sure to write and let me know if you made it to the top of Fuji or not... I am betting that you did.

Here is a quick snap shot of one of the buses that take people to mt. Fuji... only in Japan would you find a pink barbie style bus.

Around Tokyo

Just a few snaps around Tokyo. Visited Akihabara recently and this lovely lady was out handing tissues promotting Vodafone. Almost made me like Vodafone, but then remembered that I use them and they are crap. Oh well, just one mans opinion.

A restaurant that Kiyomi and I went to recently... nice place, great view and good service.

The station is still getting ripped up here... I think it will take awhile but here is a quick snap of the progress that they have made. I bet it will be down completely within the next couple of weeks.

A Plug for a good store...

I bought my bike from a place in Harumi Triton Square. It has proven to be a great store on many occasions. I really do recommend to everyone if they are thinking of buying a bike in central tokyo that this is a great place to go. The staff (all of them) have been equally helpful, and the prices are great.

Last week I went and took my bike for a tune up there, and found out that there is no charge as I bought the bike from the store. Yet another great reason to buy a bike from them.

If you can visit Seo Cycle in Harumi. I am sure that you will get a good deal. The picture is the front of the store.
