Yesterday I finally succumbed and started my own little facebook page too... I've put a link to this blog as well and hope that I can update both. Perhaps I should even try to do so a little more frequently.

Nova has gone SuperNova!

... and then turned into a Black hole. Nova, for those if you who don't know, was my first job in Japan. Nova was my first official sponsor on my visa, and helped me get setup here. Many of my friends that are here in Japan are from my Nova days, and I still keep in touch with many of them that have gone back home. In that past I had recommended people to go with Nova, as they were a safe bet. Or so it seemed. Well through some bad management, poor treatment of their students, and an excessively harsh punishment from the government they have gone bankrupt.

You can see how many people have really been affected by this. Investors will lose money, students will lose their classes and the money they paid, teachers and staff will not be paid. My heart goes out to all those affected and in trouble. The one thing I can say is that Japan moves quickly and you can get something new, or have enough to get out soon.
